12/18/07  St. Blaise*

Child of God, I come this day at the request of the Most Blessed Trinity.

Child of God, I come this day to speak of courage.

Today few have the courage to live fully their Faith.  If asked, they will admit to be Christian, but they bend to every pressure when it comes to living what they profess to believe.  No one wants to stand out or feel uncomfortable, but a Christian must be prepared to do this in order to witness to others by their example what it means to be a follower of Jesus.  A Christian must be honest in all his or her dealings with others.  Truth must be spoken always, even if it puts you at odds with what another might want.  Lying or looking the other way to protect your job, or keep the good will of others, cannot happen.  Accepting the immoral behavior of others as alright, and participating in it by your silence, is wrong always.  Allowing the poor or defenseless to be hurt, and not standing up for them, is not the way a follower of Jesus behaves.  Not giving to God what is His due because others may think you odd or out of touch with the ‘real world’ is cowardice.  To follow Jesus takes courage, integrity and perseverance.

I ask those who read these messages to look at your behavior and your attitude toward the world and its ways.  Be firm and steadfast in your Faith and God will always be your protector and your reward.

I, Blaise, bless you.
