SAINTS

12/25/07  St. Nicholas*

Child of God, I come at the request of the Most Blessed Trinity.

Child of God, the Lord heard your heart’s desire to see and hear me this day.  You thought; what a joy to see and speak to the ‘real Santa Claus’ and let the world focus once again on the true meaning of Christmas.

I lived my life trying to follow the Words of our Jesus when He said to comfort, protect and help the poor.  It is not enough to go to Church on Sunday, sing hymns and donate as the basket is passed.  Every Christian, every child of God, must live seven days a week the Truth and the Words of the Lord.  The way to Heaven is through our neighbor and, so, take the charity you feel during this holy Season and practice it each day of the year.

I, Nicholas, bless you.

*St. Nicholas – (d. 350).  Bishop of Myra.  He was known for his kindness, zeal and miracles.  There has been great devotion to him in the West.  The stories told of St. Nicholas’s generosity led to children giving gifts at Christmas.  The Dutch called him Santa Claus.
